SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA, October 25, 2006 - Xelerated, the price/performance leader in network processing, today announced that it has achieved International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001:2000 accreditation for its Quality Management System for design, supply and support regarding its network processors, development platforms and software‑development kits.
Xelerated was granted the Certificate of Registration by Det Norske Veritas, DNV, one of the leading world-wide companies for certification in accordance with ISO 9001.
"As our Tier-1 customers have entered volume production, ISO certification has been essential to confirm that we have all the appropriate design, supply and support processes in place to meet their stringent quality requirements," says Johan Hellqvist, Xelerated's COO and co-founder. He continues: "It also shows Xelerated's long-term commitment to continuous improvement of our processes and quality management."
"The core of Xelerated's quality system has evidently been in place for several years, and the certification process has demonstrated Xelerated's high quality standards. This is impressive for a relatively young company like Xelerated," says Birger Berggren, auditor at DNV.
