Thomas Axelsson brings more than 25 years of senior management experience from small and large companies. In one of his most recent roles Thomas Axelsson was COO and CEO of Symsoft AB, a highly competitive telecom software company. Before joining Symsoft AB, Thomas Axelsson held leading positions within the Ericsson Group in Sweden and Canada, where he managed large international organizations developing and producing cellular systems. Thomas Axelsson holds a Master of Science degree from Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden.

Thomas Eklund
Vice President Business Development

Thomas Eklund brings more than 13 years of experience in Ethernet Switching, mobile Internet and IPv6. He is currently a member of the IPv6 Forum Technical Directorate and co-author of several IETF drafts. Thomas Eklund is responsible for Xelerated's business development and for securing the company's first tier-one customers. Prior to founding Xelerated, he held key positions as Systems Engineer at SwitchCore and Research Engineer at Ericsson Research. Thomas Eklund holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Stockholm in Sweden.

Anders Ericsson
Vice President and Head of Sales & Marketing
Anders Ericsson has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications field, both from operators, system providers and consultancy companies. Anders Ericsson previously held positions as President of Svenska Fibernät AB, Head of 3G strategies within Ericsson, President of Telia Business Innovation, Executive Vice President of TeliaSonera Carrier and Vice President Nordic Sales at VeriSign.

Johan Hellqvist

Johan Hellqvist, intially CEO of Xelerated, has more than 15 years of management experience. Prior to founding Xelerated, he worked for SwitchCore. He has also held leading positions within Cap Gemini and Combitech Systems and high-tech start-ups. Johan Hellqvist holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Technology in Lund, Sweden and Universität Karlsruhe in Germany.

Mats Löfling
Vice President, ASIC & Hardware Development
Mats Löfling has more than 20 years of ASIC experience, in engineering and management positions. He is responsible for some 30 chip tape-outs, undertaken in several geographies, most recently the Xelerated X10q and X11 network processors. Before joining Xelerated he held positions within ASIC development at Ericsson and at LSI Logic. Mats Löfling holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

Fredrik Orava
Vice President, Software Development
Fredrik Orava has extensive experience in research and development in multiple markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Germany, bringing international management and software expertise to his position. He previously worked as Senior Director of R&D with ADVA Optical Networking, where he successfully integrated the Swedish and United Kingdom's research and development departments into one organization with common procedures and operations. He has also held senior management positions at mPacket and Dynarc as well as research positions at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS). Fredrik Orava holds a PhD in Computer Systems from Uppsala University in Sweden.

Johan Sandell

Johan Sandell has more than 18 years of experience working with system vendors in the telecommunications field, in areas ranging from research and development to product management and marketing. Recent positions with Transmode Systems include Director of Marketing, Vice President of R&D, Vice President of Product Management and CTO. Prior to Transmode, he also held management positions in the Ericsson WDM program. Johan Sandell holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

Pär Westlund

Pär Westlund has 15 years of experience in Ethernet Switching, IP and data communications. He has played a key role in the definition and concepts of Xelerated's NPUs and determining how they are applied in customer systems. He is also co-holder of many of Xelerated's patents. Prior to founding Xelerated Pär Westlund worked for Switchcore and Enator. Pär Westlund holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Per-Olov Östberg
Chief Financial Officer
Per-Olov has more than 20 years of experience from financial management and related positions with international companies such as Alfa-Laval, Apple Computer, ASG and Pan Nordic Logistics. Most recently he held the position Vice President Finance and Strategic Sourcing at Nordea Bank AB. He has a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Gothenburg University in Sweden.
